TEACHER-TRAINING-COURSE
The primary concern of this teaching course is to help musicians to gains a deeper insight towards the art of teaching. This course is so-designed to help aspiring music teachers, present and future to their quest for additional knowledge towards the realization of their full potentials to enjoying and understanding music as performers and teachers.
Some teachers experience uncertainty when encountering music pieces which they have never played or heard of. This course not only helps resolves any doubt on this but also train students on how to interpret music by different composers from different eras as well as enhance their knowledge on the various composers stylistic traits.
Academic qualifications alone are not sufficient as far as teaching is concerned. Working through three or four music pieces a year could probably ensure a pass in the examination. But does this certificate physically and mentally prepare anyone in the field of teaching?
Interpretation of music is an individual affair. Of course, individual composer’s style has to be infused into the playing. This, together with the performer’s own emotions would inevitably heighten any performance.
The topic- Principles of Teaching – covers a very wide scope. It cannot be summoned up into a compendium of any sort. Why? – Because it is an art which cannot be read from a book.
